About Living Room Tables

There are quite a few types of living room tables to choose from, including coffee tables, end tables, sofa tables, and tray tables. All of these are wonderful additions that add functionality and convenience to an often used space.

  • Coffee tables are typically the central spot to set a drink, keep magazines, or put your feet up in a living room. They can be versatile pieces that hold just about anything, and usually sit directly in front of the sofa or seating group for easy access. Coffee tables come in an enormous range of styles including convertible and adjustable table configurations, storage ottomans, tables with shelves and drawers, and unique and innovative designs.
  • End tables are functional accent pieces that frequently hold lamps, remotes, and any snacks or drinks that someone sitting on the furniture may be enjoying. There are a wide variety of end table designs ranging from sleek and ultra-modern, to rustic carved wood or industrial chic designs. There are also nesting tables, which are a convenient option that are designed to nestle one underneath another for easy storage. Nesting tables can help add functionality and usable space, while also ensuring that a space have a clean tidy appearance when the tables are tucked away.
  • Sofa tables, also sometimes called console tables, are another helpful type of living room tables. A sofa table is a long and narrow table that is intended to be positioned against the back of a sofa, whether between the sofa and a wall, or out in the middle of a room. This puts the table in a perfect position to hold lamps and decorative items, and creates a readily available space for sofa users to set down a drink or TV remotes.
  • Tray tables can function as accent tables or can be used as TV trays for eating meals while enjoying a movie or sporting event on TV. Some tray tables even have detachable trays to give them more versatility and allow them to be used as serving accessories.
